Gilda is an Award Winning Children's Book Author and was born and raised in Australia. Her lifelong love of poodles began one day after school when her mum told her to take a peek inside her handbag. There she found a teeny weeny, fluffy puffy, black toy poodle puppy. It was love at first sight.

Deciding to make a sea change when her two daughters went to England for university, she moved to London with her (almost equally poodle-obsessed) husband Julian, and their two beloved toy poodles, the REAL Buddy and Bella.

Inspired by their daily adventures, The Fancy Schmancy Lifeguard is her first children’s picture book. Now happily living back in Sydney Australia, Gilda is hard at work on the next instalments of the Buddy & Bella series.

Julian spends his time as a husband   and father of two girls, and as a senior executive helping businesses grow in a new AI NetZero era.

Julian is an Award Winning Children's Book Author and Illustrator who has also won several awards for his art and his large-scale portrait entries. Julian also creates children’s characters and stories and enjoys illustrating children’s books to help bring them to life.
